So we are back from Tohoku and know I will tell you what we did up there. First we had a 9-10 hour drive to get there. which was kind of a fun ride... kind of. I do want to say the rest stops in Japan are awesome (some of them there are new ones and older not as good ones) They have ginormous bathrooms, a food court, and a shop to buy snacks, drinks, gifts and souvenirs. o and at ever rest stop they have a stamp that is unique for each stop. (I got four!!)
(This is one of the rest stops we stopped at)
So once we got there we were helping out through TBC (Tokyo Baptist Church) they have a house were they do outreaches from, we stayed there and work in the area around it. If anyone from TBC reads this, again thank you guys sssooo much! I was so blessed to get to help out.
Alright so what we did up there.
We did a lot of prep work in some empty lots-
-Pulling weed
-Weed eating
-Digging out big rocks
-Digging out parts of trees
-Picking up trash
So we were getting the lots some what ready so they can rebuild the houses, but I am not 100% sure, they said this is what you are doing and I said "sweet ok!"
But the lady (Yoko ) in charge of directing outreach teams that come said we did a good job so I am stoked.

And then on the last day we had a BBQ for all of the people in the area just to bless them back ( the whole time people from the neighborhood would keep bringing us food, ice cream, cookies, tomatoes things like that ) and hang out with them. It was awesome just to get to sit around, eat and talk with everyone.
one night we got to go to a festival that was going on. It was so crazy amazing!!! the fireworks were the best I have ever seen and we had a sweet place to see them from, it was like they were going off right in front us, sssooo good. I have videos that I still need to put on my PC so I will post the good ones later on.
So to end this post, if anyone is thinking about coming to Japan to help with the clean up/rebuild do it. Even though it has been awhile there is still tons of work that needs to be done. The thing that Yoko said was the people who come and help out now are mostly from other countries. She said at the start there was tons of people from other parts of Japan coming to help, but I guess that it is kind of back to norm for people. So I just want to say even though it was a while ago and for most of the world has gone back to normal there is still a lot of work and rebuild that needs to be done. So again if you are thinking about going... go.
Thank you everyone and God bless
